Lumen Project will present an ongoing series of audiovisual events in Stockholm’s Eric Ericsonhallen, offering a space for contemplation, connection and awe - a church-like context, but free of the trappings and baggage of religious or culturally specific iconography, within which we can congregate to “recover that sense of human belonging”.

The events will vary in length and content, but will all be of an immersive nature, and have sound as an undergirding element. Unlike most musical presentations, the attendees are encouraged to lie down, to sleep, and to come and go as they please. There is no barrier, physical or otherwise, between artist and audience. As an audience participant, the energy you lend to the room is no more or less vital than anybody else present, including the performer. This is not a ”concert” in the way we generally define ”concerts.” It assures the attendee a break. There is no goal here, no hierarchy. The pressure is off, no need to look cool, no need to behave in any other way than that which feels right. It imparts a rare opportunity to put down your phone, and be present; in a space with other human beings who are also seeking kind of respite. Because of this consensual intention, the conditions are created for a unifying experience.

Although the events will focus on sound, there will also be other elements added into the mix, such as yoga, deep listening sessions, meditation, shorter workshops, or talks.
